If you Have installed your heating mats beneath tile adhesive, levelling compound or a screed, you must allow them to dry out before  turning on your heating system for the first time. If the system is turned before them dry out, it will force the moisture out of the covering and may it crack. We would recommend you to speak with your manufacturer of the covering to confirm the drying time.
