Product Description

Manganin is a Copper-Manganese-Nickel Resistance alloy;it combines all the properties required of a precision electrical resistance alloy such as high resistivity, low temperature coefficient of resistance,very low thermal effect against copper and good performance of electrical resistance over long periods of time.

Applications of Manganin:

1) It is used for making wire wound precision resistance

2) Resistance boxes

3) Shunts for electrical measuring instruments

Manganin is also used in gauges for studies of high-pressure shock waves (such as those generated from the detonation of explosives) because it has low strain sensitivity but high hydrostatic pressure sensitivity.
